Washingmaschine

‘waschmaschine’ a 24-hour performance by Jan van Esch, as the finishing piece of the ZK/U artist dis-placement residency at the Red Cross. In this performance, he goes back to the actual work of the volunteers at the ‘Kleiderkammer’, some of them have been doing this for 18 years, selecting and preparing donated clothes, for donation to ones in need, for sales in support of Red Cross programs, or for further distribution and recycling.
